The release notes here [[Release Notes Thunderbird 68.12.0|https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/68.12.0/releasenotes/?uri=/thunderbird/releasenotes/&locale=de&version=68.12.0&channel=release&os=WINNT&buildid=20200820223055#fixes]] are empty resp. do not show anything meaningful for me.

The links "What's new" and "Changes" have no effect, "Bug fixes" jumps down to the word "fixed".

Not empty as the fixes were the security fixes as linked. https://www.thunderbird.net/thunderbird/68.12.0/releasenotes/

The updates are for security and stability fixes if any. https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/releases/

The reporter is correct in that "what's new" and "changes" links at the top don't work, because there is nothing to go to.

This is fixed in the newer version release notes like https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/78.2.1/releasenotes/
