From the Firefox menu, select Tools then click the Add-ons option. In the Add-ons Manager window, select Plugins. Click Java (TM) Platform plugin (Windows) or Java Applet Plug-in (Mac OS X) to select it.

You need to check the site that is asking for that Java plugin to find their instructions to what they are asking. By default Firefox only uses javascript as to the Java itself you will have to download that from Oracle to install that java version to use if that's what they are referencing to.

Why do Java, Silverlight, Adobe Acrobat and other plugins no longer work? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/npapi-plugins

NPAPI Plugins (with exception of Flash for a while longer) has not been allowed to run in Firefox since Firefox 52.0 Released back March 7, 2017. The Flash Plugin supported was dropped by both Adobe and Mozilla (Fx 85.0, Jan 2021) more recently. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/end-support-adobe-flash

Also note that Java Plugin from Oracle and JavaScript in Firefox are two different things. JavaScript should have kept the original name of LiveScript to minimize the confusion. http://kb.mozillazine.org/JavaScript_is_not_Java
