I have x-marks on my desktop but it is no longer available to download. So I have Firefox Sync on my laptop. How do I sync my bookmarks on both together?

Xmarks isn't compatible with Firefox Sync. You need to stick with Xmarks or switch over to Firefox Sync on both PC's. I imagine they would probably both work separately on both PC's, but they won't work together, that is to cross-sync data with each other.

The Xmarks extension for Firefox 3.0 - 6.0a1 is available here:

Problem . . . . x-marks is no longer available for download. I would have to get rid of x-marks on my PC and install Firefox Sync and possible lose all of my bookmarks.

The Xmarks extension for Firefox just installed correctly for me from here - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/xmarks-sync/

Or try this page - http://download.xmarks.com/download

Xmarks is still available, its latest version is 3.9.9. The only problem is that it does not sync Passwords anymore.
