After re-installing Windows XP recently, I can’t get a connection to Google Search. The error message says, ”Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at www.google.com.” I can access the Google website in the address box, but the search box produces an error. I can access Yahoo search, but prefer Google. Any advice?

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

If you enter mozilla in the search box and press Enter, does the URL of the resulting page look like the following?

https://www.google.com/search?q=mozilla&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

If not, there might be a problem with your Google search engine plugin.

Thanks, jscher2000. I looked all over the Mozilla Firefox help site and couldn't find this answer. You provided it. Thanks a bundle.
