How can I delete all the e-mails in trash all at once?
My trash gets loaded with e-mails. How can I delete them all at once?

Right click Trash folder Empty Trash Right click again Compact
My Empty Trash option is no longer listed in the right click options.
I have no idea why you do not have a standard Menu option. You might try restarting with add ons disable to see if that helps. You do that in the Help Menu.
In the mean time open the Trash folder and click one message to select it. Then press control+a to select all. Then delete.
Thanks for the idea, but it didn't work. I still have no 'Empty Trash' option. Incidentally, since my last reply, my Trash label has lost about three quarters of it's messages without any help from me. And that was before I did a Safe Restart.
Could this be to do with the most recent update and is it possible to reinstall a previous version ?
I have 5 subfolders under my Trash folder, and I can right click on each of them to empty their trash, but I do not have an option to empty trash from the actual Trash folder.
I have an empty trash when right clicking any trash folder in addition to having an empty trash under the File Menu. No idea why you do not. Of course I do not have sub-folders under Trash. Trash to me is just that Trash. There is no need to sort trash.
Yes, I also have an empty trash under the File Menu, but am looking for the return of the right click on my left-hand margin column of all files and sub-files for all accounts. Mozilla added the trash subfolders (one per account) to my Trash file in this column. Opening the Trash folder to access each of these subfolders is the only way to empty trash on my Dashboard, a rather cumbersome way to empty them all.
If the right click on the Dashboard Trash no longer works, I'd like to know the shortcut (if there is one) to this command (like Control C to copy). Under my File Menu the command Empty Trash has an underscore beneath the letter 'y' -- I would have thought something like Control Alt Y or some such would work. Thanks!
