I have moved the Bookmarks, but can't figure out how to move the log-in info and other stuff. I can see how to get it in from Chrome, IE, etc, but not another Mozilla product.

She's now so mad I'm afraid to go to sleep...

How can I do this?

I'm not sure what files SeaMonkey is using for the user name and passwords in the Password Manager. Current Firefox releases use logins.json and key3.db and you need to remove logins.json to make Firefox use other files. If that copy of SeaMonkey doesn't have the logins.json file then look for a file with a name like (number).s, but I don't know if you can make Firefox use this file.

You can force Firefox to reimport the passwords from a signons.sqlite file and rebuild the logins.json file with these steps:

  • reset the signon.importedFromSqlite pref on the about:config page to the default value via the right-click context menu
  • delete the logins.json file in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed

When you restart Firefox then you should have the signon.importedFromSqlite pref with the value set to true.

I found these - could it be so simple as to just copy them into FireFox? If so, do you know where these are located in FireFox?

"C:\Users\Roger\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\SeaMonkey\Profiles\um0e0y1x.default\logins.json"

"C:\Users\Roger\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\SeaMonkey\Profiles\um0e0y1x.default\key3.db"

Yes, copying the two files logins.json and key3.db to the current Firefox profile folder while Firefox is closed should work.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
