Hi, With the recent updates firefox no longer keeps my browsing history for a few weeks. It makes things difficult for me because I could no longer keep track of some of the things I do. Is there any way to keep the browsing history longer?

Thanks in advance.

In order to change your Firefox Configuration please do the following steps :

  1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
  2. Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.
  3. Look for places.history.expiration.transient_current_max_pages and change its value to a higher number

Or you can try this addon:

History can be removed or not recorded several ways;

  • 1) Running Firefox in Private Mode (nothing is recorded)
  • 2) Privacy settings (Type about:preferences#privacy<enter>
    in the address bar.)
  • 3) Many disk cleaners and anti-virus type programs can remove data from browsers. Open their settings and have them leave the browsers alone.
  • 4) Mal-ware.
