JavaScript is used all over the web. Unless lots of websites are telling you it is disabled, most likely it is enabled but there are some glitches with particular sites.

Did you post your question using the Firefox that has a problem? Because I notice in your More System Details that the Flash plugin (called Shockwave Flash on Firefox's Add-ons page) is not visible. Could you check to make sure you have the current version?

Please open the Add-ons page using either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Plugins. Look for "Shockwave Flash" on the right side, including in any grayed out area at the bottom. Can you find it? If it' is set to "Never Activate" try "Ask to Activate". Or if it is missing or too old to activate, you can install the new version from here:

https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html (you want the version for "plugin-based browsers")

With "Ask to Activate" set, when you visit a site that wants to use the Flash, you should see a notification icon in the address bar and one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an infobar sliding down between the toolbar area and the page.

You can ignore the notification if you don't need to play videos on the site. Just lets the video ads sit there not playing. ;-)

Does that help at all?

Thank you for the screen shot. It looks like the website is not loading completely. For example, the style sheet is not being applied to the page, and maybe scripts are not loading properly, either.

Could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Any improvement?
