I am a web developer and only Firefox has this issue. Where by using jQuery (iNettuts widgets) and placing a JavaScript calling for an advert from an ad server Firefox clears the page (white bg) and only displays the advert multiple times. Following error thinks there is an issue with my JS script but where it insists the issue is doesn't have any relevance to the advert displaying. I have uploaded the demo onto a folder on our server for you to see. Issue that firebug picks up is "uncaught exception: [Exception... "'[JavaScript Error: "$(clonedWidget).attr("class") is undefined" ]' when calling method: [nsIDOMEventListener::handleEvent]" nsresult: "0x80570021 (NS_ERROR_XPC_JAVASCRIPT_ERROR_WITH_DETAILS)" location: "native frame ::  ::  :: line 0" data: yes]" and as I said only firefox has this issue. please advise.

Hello Colin.

You may be hard pressed to get a proper answer here (since there are so many people with issues and so few volunteers), and I'm far from the best person to help you with this, since I lack knowledge in this area, but have you tried the w3c javascript validator (or something) to see if your script is or isn't standard compliant?

I've used an online validation tool but with it being jQuery and not JS you cant say which library is being used and with around 3000 lines to go through its fairly inconclusive. however as other browsers are not having the same issue then it limits down to only one denominator and that is how firefox handles JQuery and JS. Is there a better place to submit this post?

Thanks,

Oh think I see what you mean... Sorry about that confusion too.

As for a better place to talk about this, I would think mozillaZine to be good enough. Or Bugzilla, if you have technical details and want to search for an open bug or file a new one. The Google Groups of Mozilla are also frequently populated with important developers, so you may want to try there, but please, be as technical as possible.

I'm sorry for not being of more help.
