I have Firefox 3.6.18 running on WinXP, I see they are testing new versions, which is a "stable" version that I can safely upgrade to?
Not sure which is the next "stable" version to upgrade to. I didn't upgrade to version 4 because it was beta at the time, and Firefox usually automatically notifies me when a critical update is available. The last notice I received was for upgrading to 3.6.18. Any advice on which version is best would be appreciated. Thank you

Firefox 4.0 was released March 22nd and is no longer supported since Firefox 5.0 was released on June 21st. Firefox 6.0 (08-16 release date) is the Beta version and Firefox 7.0 (09-27 release date) is in Alpha development.
My advice is to stick with Firefox 3.6.18 for a while longer, and install Portable Firefox 5.0 to see how you like it and to learn how it differs from previous versions of Firefox. The Portable version will install to its' own folderset when you install it to hard drive and won't affect your 3.6.18 installation at all. Once you learn to like 5.0 and the differences, then you can upgrade the regular installation.
