This looks more like a problem with the Arial Black font.

Maybe you can reinstall this font or temporarily uninstall it.

Try to refresh the font registry by reinstalling corrupted fonts.
Open Control Panel > Fonts
Choose > File > Install new Font
Browse to the C:\windows\fonts folder
Click "Select All" to select all fonts or select only specific fonts that you want to refresh
Click Install to install and refresh all selected fonts.
You can press the Alt key and click the Yes button to confirm that you want to replace the fonts.

beste cor-el, I reinstalled all the fonts but now I get a blank page on google. Just the google banner is there and the box to click search, but there are no words on the page. When I type in the search box I don't see what I type. But it didn't crash

Do you still have the Arial Black font installed or did you uninstall it?

What are your default fonts as set in "Extra > Opties > Inhoud > Lettertypen" ?

You can check for problems with preferences and rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default value.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
