Charter Mail Administrator is returning undeliverable emails to me that were not sent from me, nor are they in my address book. What's broken?
I receive a dozen emails daily from Charter Administrators saying MAIL UNDELIVERABLE. The problem is NONE of those emails being returned came from me, or are in my address book. After a systems check, Charter says it Thunderbird's issue. Can anyone advise me as to how to correct this issue?

Someone is using your email address as a return address for the junk they send. They got your address somewhere and are using it. This is why you need to be protective of your personal info. If they were coming from Thunderbird on your computer they would be in your sent folder. Too bad the Charter rep you talked to was not smart enough to know that. There is nothing you can do about it now. They will get bored with you soon and move on the the next address they found posted on the internet. This is called Backscatter if you want to Google it.
