Show Desktop Notification from Webpage in TB

Have written a TB-Addon that shows a webpage in a seperate TAB. This is done via the internal Firefox engine that TB has built in. The displayed webpage is able to display notifications via HTML5 notification function. But this is not function because of (I think) security settings that prvent this. My question is, is there a setting that I can enable this function and allow it?
