Hi,

since updating Thunderbird (Fedora 36) to 102.2.1 (from thunderbird-91.12.0-1.fc36.x86_64), my personal calendar, hosted on Google Calendar, has started to have sync issues, with now being empty, without error message. Re-starting Thunderbird, synchronizing or hiding/re-showing the calendar (which helped in the past) doesn't help in any way.

I couldn't find a corresponding bugzilla and wanted to hear if it's a generic issue and how to proceed with debugging.

I've even removed the calendar re-add it, Thunderbird discovers my calendars properly, using gmail.com as location and my corporate e-mail as login.

During first synchronization, I get a bunch of

``` 10:21:43.099 Calendar: Invalid alarm for item: 1-0-5e276357f7219c00016e1645 (BEGIN:VALARM
TRIGGER:PT15M
END:VALARM
) exception: [Exception... "Illegal value" nsresult: "0x80070057 (NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_VALUE)" location: "JS frame :: resource:///modules/CalAlarm.jsm :: set icalComponent :: line 499" data: no] calItemBase.js:953 ```
And then:
``` 10:21:56.614 REPORThttps://apidata.googleusercontent.com/caldav/v2/myuser@acme.com/events/ [HTTP/2 403 Forbidden 53ms]

10:21:56.679 REPORThttps://apidata.googleusercontent.com/caldav/v2/myuser@acme.com/events/ [HTTP/2 403 Forbidden 55ms]

REPORT https://apidata.googleusercontent.com/caldav/v2/myuser%40acme.com/events/ Status 403 Forbidden VersionHTTP/2 Transferred541 B (65 B size)

10:21:56.780 uncaught exception: [calCachedCalendar] replay action failed: <unknown>, uri=https://apidata.googleusercontent.com/caldav/v2/myuser%40acme.com/events/, result=2147500037, operation=[xpconnect wrapped calIOperation] ```

But then, other (group) calendars using the same account sync without issue.

Thanks, Eric

PS: on the bright side, Thunderbird uses a lot less CPU cycles. Very appreciated.

Update the Provider for Google Calendar extension:

Menu>Add-ons and themes Tap the extension Tap the home page link Add to Thunderbird

You may need to re-authorise your account

Thanks for answering @bushy but this isn't my issue: I'm using the CalDav provider and not the Google Calendar extension (after trying both, I found it more reliable, and avoids support ping-pong between Thunderbird and the extension's author).

Also, I'm using Oauth to connect, not an application token, so no need to re-authorize.

And I forgot to say: I used the Help -> More Troubleshooting information dialog to clear the startup cache. It helped once (yesterday), but then today the issue is back.

I faced the same issue. All my calendar contents disappeared suddenly. What helped was right clicking on a calendar and click "Synchronize calendars".

Hm, looks like the bug persists, my calendar items keep on disappearing.
