google pages cause firefox to crash
Whenever I attempt to access any webpage on the google.com domain, Firefox completely hangs until I exit the program. Gmail is not affected (however mail.google.com is), but google.com, code.google.com and any other hostname on the google.com domain is.
I can reliably reproduce this by opening a new tab, typing in a keyword into the search bar at the top of the page and hitting submit. I can also reproduce by opening a new tab, typing "google.com" into the address bar and hitting submit.
I can open google.com pages in any other browser on my system (including IE8, Safari 4, Opera 10, and Chrome).
I did have a virus a couple of weeks ago (IIRC it was "antivir" - a bogus antivirus program that basically changed my proxy settings to prevent me from accessing the internet and had an in-memory program to block me from opening most programs on my computer). I removed this virus, however, and cannot detect any further traces from it. I only mention it here in case it is relevant.
If I restart firefox in "safe mode" I have the same problem. I have disabled any addons I'm not using, and most plugins I have installed are pretty standard. List should be included in the "troubleshooting information" box here.

As an FYI, I have disabled the Google Update and WPI Detector plugins as I'm not really sure what they are for, but this had no effect.
I have this issue as of today as well. But, I have never had a virus...
Running Windows 7 Ultimate 32b, I suspect it is Google related.
Edit:
Ok, rebooting fixes the problem.

I have the same problem opening google.com domain crashes firefox. Additionally same thing happens on the Internet Explorer !!
I am, as well, actually having problems with Internet Explorer now. I'm not sure why.
However, randomly Google domain pages began working in Firefox. I'm not sure what the issue was, but I'm not having problems with Firefox any longer, so at least it's sorted. Now to figure out what the problem is with IE (it won't load any pages for me at the moment).
