Hi,

I have four emails total on Thunderbird. Two of which are "msn.com" emails. I am having problems with these two msn accounts.

I send out an email with MSN_1 account but I keep receiving replies on my MSN_2 account.

I do not have a "reply-to" setting turned on. I looked over the settings options but nothing caught my attention on possible resolution.

How can I have this stop? I keep accidentally replying to the messages with the secondary msn account.

Best,

It sounds like that your MSN_1 account is using the Outgoing Server (SMTP) settings for your MSN_2 account, including the e-mail address for MSN_2.

Go to: Thunderbird menu: Tools: Account Settings

On the left side in Account Settings, select your you MSN_1 account. On the right side near the bottom you will see that you can change which Outgoing Server (SMTP) is used for the account. Make sure that the correct SMTP server is chosen.

If you are not sure which SMTP server is which, then select "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" on the left side (very bottom), and look at the "User Name" for each of the servers on the right side.

Thank you Bruce!

After checking the "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" from the latter information, I learned that MSN_1 account and MSN_2 accounts were sharing the same server credentials.

I added a new independent SMTP for my MSN_1 account and everything is back to normal.
