not asking password
TB is not asking my password when I start TB and is not capable to connect to mail-server. I removed key3. Also I can not change the password. I rebuild the database. I tried all the suggested things to do.

'not capable to connect to mail-server' is the reason for not being prompted for the password. Fix your connectivity problems first.
I removed key3.
Why?
Also I can not change the password.
What did you try to change your password? Note that if you want to change your email account password you'd need to do that on the server.
I rebuild the database.
What database?
I tried all the suggested things to do.
What else did you try?
I removed key3. Why?
Because the http://kb.mozillazine.org/Master_password says: Thunderbird
There is a known bug that sometimes occurs when updating from 2.0.0.24 to Thunderbird 3.* that causes Thunderbird to think you set a master password even though you never created one. If this happens, try resetting the master password as explained above. If that doesn't work exit Thunderbird and delete the key3.db file in your profile.
"Also I can not change the password.

I want to remove the master password but is not possibles. I get the message that it is not possible to change.
"I rebuild the database. What database? "
The key3.db
"What else did you try? "
Removed TB and reinstall it. Relinked the default profile but that does changed nothing.
