The update to 3.6.10 crashed - I had to rename the support directory firefox creates in profiles. Now I have a virgin installation without my password, etc file - what files can I transfer over to restore functionality?

After upgrading to 3.6.10 - upon restart - Firefox was broken. So I renamed the Application Support -> Forefox directory to Application Support -> Firefox-broken. This caused Firefox to create a brand new set of support files. I am trying to recover all the data i can from the previous installation, including the username/password file (signons.sflite & signons3.txt), etc. When I copied the old files to the new support directory, it is not filling in my user name and passwords as usual. Is there a recommended procedure to bring the user information over to the new environment.
