Does Firefox sync handle bookmark that are separate for my work PC and my home PC, but both contain common core, or subset categories bookmarks that can be flagged for sync and available from both?

Xmarks allows to set-up multiple sync profiles. https://www.xmarks.com/about/features/sync_profiles
