Lets say I'm watching a 5:20 long YouTube video and then suddenly at 2:20 the audio stops working, but the video works just fine. I try reloading the page, but the audio always stops working at that time. If I skip that 2:20 point the audio works just fine if there isn't another point in the video when it stops working. Most other YouTube videos have different points when the audio stops working, e.g. 4:50, 3:11, 6:33, ....

This has happened every time I enabled the html5 player on YouTube on Firefox, which is now enabled whenever possible. This problem appears both on Windows and OS X. I also tried both with Firefox the latest stable version and Nightly's latest version, in both the problem persists.

Please fix this as soon as possible.

HI bladestorm91, The rendering of test and audio playback will be as good as the packets that send the content to your computer. Does this happen with the same video in a different network?

Thank you for answering, It happens on the same video in a different network, however I now believe that I may have spoken too soon for Firefox as this might be happening only in Nightly. I have tested the videos in which the audio had problems again in Firefox and the HTML5 player worked without a hitch.

The difference between Firefox and Nightly I noticed on YouTube is "Media Source Extensions" and "MSE & WebM VP9" support. They might be at fault for the audio problems, however I'm not knowledgeable in this field so I could be wrong.

I will try to test Firefox again in different networks for multiple videos to see if audio playback is working correctly on it. If the audio is not working correctly in Firefox I will report on it in this thread.
