Just ran latest Firefox updates. Now youtube videos won't load due to "security connection failed" (but the videos load fine in other browsers). How to fix??

Example of the error messages displayed in the youtube video player space:

"Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.youtube.com. You have received an invalid certificate. Please contact the server administrator or email correspondent and give them the following information: Your certificate contains the same serial number as another certificate issued by the certificate authority. Please get a new certificate containing a unique serial number. Error code: SEC_ERROR_REUSED_ISSUER_AND_SERIAL

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem"

Who is the issuer of the certificate?

You will probably have to remove this certificate in the Certificate Manager or alternatively remove the cert8.db file.

You can rename the cert8.db file (cert8.db.old) and delete cert_override.txt in the Firefox profile folder to remove intermediate certificates and exceptions that Firefox has stored.

If that has helped to solve the problem then you can remove the renamed cert8.db.old file. Firefox will store intermediate certificates that a server sends in the Certificate Manager for future use.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
