how to prevent ads from opening new windows
I have installed ublock origin add-on as well as block site add-on. This prevents advertisements from opening within the same tab that i was browsing. But instead advertisers have now found a new way. They opened a new window behind my current window. For eg, I would be watching an online movie, and I maximise that screen. (if i didnt maximise it advertisements are not opened). When I minimise it or close that screen (after movie has completed), i always found new window being opened and the advertisers always invariably redirected it to a shopping site that I have allowed, eg Lazada (which i shopped at).
Listing that site within block site, did not prevent this behavior, block site seems to blocked some sites url but still the same site kept repeatedly get past. Please help. These are the sites that frequently opened new widows despite being listed into block site pipsol.net binaryoptions

It shows here you are running ver 56, it is no longer supported and is a security risk. Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.1 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/
I get that also. I use uBlock Origin and Ghostery. Sometimes Ghostery blocks a window from loading with a warning. I also have paid Malwarebytes and it blocks those from loading to with a warning that they are also malicious. Yes they find there way around it. Should run ant-malware programs weekly if go to sites like that cause those/ AwdCleaner is useful.
If can get a URL from those popups can add them to your Firewall Block List.
Can run PeerBlock with lists from Iblock and edit them for your ISP so do not get banned and other sites you use that are on the list/s
Not much else can do when go to those sites.
