Mac OS X Option-Shift-Arrow keyboard combo not working on Firefox 60.0
I'm using Firefox Quantum 60.0 on Mac OS X High Sierra 10.13.3. I frequently use the Option - Shift - Left/Right Arrow keyboard combo to select words of text. This combo worked in Firefox up until this latest update. I checked my keyboard preferences in OS X, and everything looks fine there. I disabled all Firefox Add-Ons and also restarted the browser in safe mode, and this unfortunately did not help. Note that I can still use this keyboard combo in Chrome and all other applications. I then looked at key bindings in about:config, but I haven't customized anything there, and the values all look to be their defaults. What further steps should I take to restore this shortcut functionality?
Thanks! PristineSabine

I solved the issue, and it was not Firefox related. In System Preferences > Keyboard > Input Sources, I had Unicode Hex Input selected. This selection changes the behavior of the Option key. I changed the Input Source selection to U.S., and now the Option key and the shortcuts mentioned in my question behave as desired.
HTH anyone who has a Mac OS X Input Source issue.
