All of my new emails are displaying as "read" in Thunderbird
Very recently I began having an issue in Thunderbird where all new email downloaded from my mail server displays as previously read. This is an IMAP server/account. I access my email from several devices. I have made no changes to any of them or my email settings. The emails display as new/unread on all of my other devices: iPhone, iPad, and web access. Only when using Thunderbird do they show up as "previously read" (not bolded). I have double-checked my settings in Thunderbird; downloaded email is set to be marked as "read" after being displayed for 1 second. I have tried changing this to 2 seconds, 3 seconds, and "immediately" without any noticeable difference. I am running Thunderbird 64-bit v60.9.0 on a Mac desktop running Catalina v10.15.
Not the end of the world if I can't fix this; it's just annoying. Thank you in advance for any help.

This is a known bug in version 60.9.0 Please update to current version and this issue should be resolved. The developers are not going to fix bugs in older versions. See bug report: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1563948

One more piece for the puzzle:
When I receive new email, the Thunderbird dock icon displays the number of new, unread messages in a red circle.
The program itself, however, continues to display all email as unbolded/previously opened.

Thanks for the info on the update. I kept checking the "about Thunderbird" information menu which, even now, tells me that Thunderbird is "up to date." I thought an available update would have appeared there; my bad I guess. But the downloaded version update seems to have solved the issue. Thanks again.
