Microsoft's latest screwup of it's monstrosity called "Windows 10" has left me with no bookmarks, stored passwords, or any other information stored with Firefox. How do I recover this info? Please use simple words as I am NOT "computer friendly".

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside. Look for the folder with the latest creation date.

Type about:profiles<enter> in the address bar. How many profiles are listed? How many should be there? Also, open the profile folder in your file explorer.

Can you describe in more detail what happened leading up to the problem?

For example, did Windows do a major update? Or did it crash hard?

Did Firefox mention a problem starting up such as: can't find your profile, or need to create a new profile?

By the way, before doing heavy troubleshooting, I always suggest doing a regular shutdown and restart of Windows in case there is a transient problem with permissions or file locks that prevents Firefox from accessing its data.
