I’m devastated. Please tell me how to recover all the tabs I lost.

I had disabled the sync feature weeks ago, but when I opened Firefox just now, it had 1) synced with my MacBook 2) lost every open tab on my iPhone

Please please someone respond to this. Why is there no solution offered in this forum? Clearly a number of people have had the same problem.

Thank you

Open your history and open the tabs again?

That’s just the trouble— my iPhone tab history was replaced by my MacBook tab history, even though I specifically set my preferences not to sync because I didn’t want to lose my iPhone tabs.

The only clue I could find was that my iPhone seems to have automatically updated my Firefox without notifying me— perhaps in the process it also deleted my preferences?

This is the kind of high-handed behavior I expect from operating systems (whether Mac or Windows), maybe I’m being unfair thinking it was Firefox suddenly acting like a Macintosh.

I have had this happen twice. I guess the browser updated and closed all open tabs. I see no way to get them back. From what I have found it seems hopeless. I guess I will have to start making bookmarks or adding things to my reading list. I have had some safari tabs opened for years and they have never disappeared.
