How do I set my preference for starting a new session every time I start Firefox?

I'd like to start a new session every time I open Firefox because when the screen freezes up and it takes many tries to close Firefox, I don't want to return to the same problem. Also, every time I star my computer, my eBay countdown tool starts up. This only started happening after a power failure shut down my computer - ever since then, every time I start up my computer, the countdown tool starts up (which I don't want).

Please try this: Tools (or Alt + T) > Options > General. Under Startup choose Show a blank page.

As for the eBay tool you may have to go into it's settings. If it doesn't provide an option you may have to use the Startup folder or msconfig or regedit. I think it would be best resolved via eBay support or in a Windows OS forum.
