Clicking on Add-ons button under Tools does nothing. Clicking on Tools, options, Manage Add-ons does nothing either.

I tried to share a youtube video on facebook but when the facebook link button was pressed nothing happened (normally it would bring up a pop-up with the video on). One of the suggestions on their help section says to check the plugins and extensions on firefox but when i click on the Add-ons button under the Tools menu nothing happens. I can't get to them by clicking options under the Tools menu then the Manage Add-ons button as that doesn't work either. Clicking on Restart with Add-ons disabled just closes firefox but doesn't restart it. The computer needs restarting to get firefox to start again. :-(

I upgraded from firefox 11 to 12 but its still the same. Flash and java are both up to date.

I finally managed to get firefox started in safemode by holding the shift key while it loaded and disabled all plugins and extensions. To be honest i've no idea what 99% of the plugins do so i just enabled the ones i recognised (java, flash etc) and it all now works as it should. :-)
