Please tell me how to permanently disable FF from pinning itself to the taskbar?

Every time I launch FF and then close it, it pins itself to the taskbar. If I wanted it to be pinned there, I would have done it myself.

I haven't used Firefox in a long time, and installed it at a whim to see if there'd been any progress. Wow.

THIS IS BULLSHIT! MAKE IT STOP!

Please navigate to the following location mentioned below and check if the icon is listed. If the icon is listed you can just delete it to unpin it from taskbar.

C:\Users\(user-name)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar

Also refer to the links mentioned below.

I was mistaken, it automatically pinned itself once during the Install. Equally stupid, equally annoying. F-, will not be using again.

Funny, I seem to have the opposite problem. I CAN'T pin it to the taskbar. When I right-click the icon from a running instance of Firefox, nothing happens. There isn't even a jumplist.

This wouldn't have been a problem, since I pinned Firefox to the taskbar while using a previous version, but now for some reason when it opens Firefox, it creates a new icon rather than using the one that's already pinned.

You should try Chrome, sooo nice; Solved all my problems with Firefox.
