I upgraded to FF 13 today and had a couple of problems.

None of my desktop shortcuts would work anymore.

My mouse has dedicated buttons for page up and page down. Neither of these would work. These work in all other programs except FF13.

I didn't have either problem with previous version of FF.

So, I uninstalled FF13 and installed FF12 and all is OK again. Definitely some kind of problem with FF13.

Help!

Bill

hello bhenshaw, are those shortcuts leading to webpages? if so, please check if firefox is set as the system's default browser in firefox > options > advanced > general. furthermore smooth scrolling was introduced per default in firefox 13, maybe it is interfering with your dedicated mouse buttons - you can try disabling that in the same page within the options panel.

Hello madperson,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, these are shortcuts to webpages. Firefox is set as the default browser. The shortcuts worked fine in FF12. In FF13 I got an error, something about not being able to load the pages. So, I upgraded to FF13 again today and tried it. This time all the desktop shortcuts are working. I don't know what happened yesterday. The page up and page down on my mouse are also working. Very strange. The update yesterday must have gotten corrupted somehow. All seems OK today.

Thanks for your help!

Bill
